Free Community Yoga + Movie Night

5:00 PM ~ Introduction and opening of movie by Maria
5:30 PM ~ Movie begins
We practice Yoga, but how much do we know about where our practice comes from?
Join us at Casa Veda for a free community evening created for people who love Yoga and want to understand it more deeply. Come together to practice, learn, connect, and grow as we explore some of the people, traditions, and teachings that helped shape modern Yoga.
We will screen Breath of the Gods, a documentary that explores the origins of modern Yoga through the life and teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya and the tradition that influenced generations of teachers and practitioners.
The film offers a fascinating opportunity to look beyond the postures and reconnect with the roots, lineage, and living tradition of Yoga. Afterward, we’ll stay together for an informal conversation and reflection: What is Yoga? How has the practice evolved? And what does it mean to honor tradition while allowing Yoga to remain meaningful in our lives today?
